Beginning the Sweetness

Hey, ya'll. if you are looking for an informative, soul searching and unique Bible based blog, you've found it!

I haven't written a blog in a long time because I just didn't. Lazy I guess, but watching Terri Saville Foy today, I realized God has given me a gift and I have been wasting time when here is an open tool ready for my use.

I have written and published 3 books, the most recent called "Conversations With A Church Mouse" published by Dorrance Publishing and available on their site as well as Amazon and Barnes & Nobel and many others. This is a fun and educational short novel which many readers have said they couldn't put down until they had finished reading it, and others said they learned some very important things for their life. You might find it equally so.

BUT NOW for today's marmalade. (Tasty stuff, that is.)

Psalm 119:105 says "Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path." CSB (Christian Standard Bible)

We could probably say it this way today. "Your word (the Bible) is a flashlight showing me where to put my feet on the path of life I am traveling so I stay safe and arrive at the right destination as chosen by God himself." (My Paraphrase)

By the way, I get my Bible versions and some related materials from Biblegateway.com. This is a free app for phone, tablet or computer I have found useful for over a decade.

God has a plan for everyone's life. Of this the Bible is very clear. If you think otherwise, you are mistaken for "...(God) is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9. (KJV) This means we are sorry for our wrong doing, have told God we are sorry and are determined to change (with His help) so we can have His life for and in us now and forever.

That will bring a new 'light' into your life, guaranteed.

But how do we stay on the path God has selected for us? Check His book, the Bible. It is the 'roadmap' for right living.

Jesus said He is the Light for our path and He said He would never leave or forsake us. His light never fails or fades. He is more dependable than the "energizer bunny" He also sent us His Holy Spirit to guide us both inside and outside. He also said He is the "Bread of life"  - how sweet that is - like marmalade on crisp toast!

That's it for now. Have a sweet day and a bright tomorrow.
